Laora A. Drumheller, 93, of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff with Rev. Ralph Morris and Rev. Kenneth Humphrey officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. A memorial in Laora’s honor has been established to St. James Lutheran Church.
Laora was born January 8, 1925 to Dave and Pauline (Sinner) Henkel in Scottsbluff. She married Will Drumheller on April 22, 1944 in Scottsbluff. She retired from the United Telephone Company after 22 years.
Laora was baptized, confirmed and married in St. James Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member. She loved her family and her church. She enjoyed sewing, playing pinochle and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Laora is survived by her daughters, Karen (Steve) Sorok of Scottsbluff and Kathy (Rod) Holten of Scottsbluff; daughter in law, Sharon Drumheller of Minnesota; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Bob Sorok of Scottsbluff, Cassie (Sean) Nichols and Lauren, Abigail and Will of Scottsbluff, Joel (Christine) Heimbuck and Tanner and Finley of Denver, Colorado; sister in law, Evelyn Henkel; sisters, Viola Schlauger and Harriett Beitz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Will Drumheller; son, Dick Drumheller; sisters, Wilma Lawson and Dee Reifschneider; and brother, Dave Henkel Jr.
