Arthur LeRoy  Maser
Arthur LeRoy Maser, 94, of Scottsbluff, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. His memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Faith United Church of Christ in Bayard, with Pastor Tom Smith officiating. Family inurnment will follow the service. Memorials in his name may be made to the Faith United Church of Christ in Bayard. Jolliffe Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Arthur LeRoy Maser was born July 29, 1922 in Bayard, Nebraska to John and Elizabeth (Reiber) Maser, the oldest of eight children. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Art received his education in the Bayard area. He married Nancy Verniece Guthrie of Mitchell on July 22, 1942 and began farming and ranching in the Bayard and Minatare areas until his retirement.

Art enjoyed camping and fishing with his family, and especially with his nine grandchildren, which he took on several camping trips. He loved farming, fishing, family and fun.

He served on the Nine Mile Ditch Board of Directors and was an FSA Committee member. He also served in various roles in his church. Art was one of many who were instrumental in the building of the new church, Faith United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of almost seventy five years, Nancy Verniece Maser, son John and his wife Joyce of Minatare, daughter Jacque and her husband Rick Kaufman of Scottsbluff, son Stephen and his wife Colleen of Lincoln; grandsons Jeff (Angela) Maser, John (Beth) Maser, James Maser, Alexander Kaufman, Nick (Mandi) Maser, granddaughters Richelle (Shawn) Green, Jennifer Dargy, Leigh Anne (Kelly) Tofflemire, Stephanie (Zac) Samson and twenty great grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters, Lucille Cook, Elsie (Don) Bauer, Leona Henkel, Judy (Richard) Michal, Diana (Ivan) Siewert, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rudolph and John, Jr., grandson Robert, sisters-in-law Ann and Gladys, and brothers-in-law Harry Cook and Dewey Henkel.
