Barbara Butterfield, 68, of Gering, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her home. At her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Her memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Bob Rose officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at Chimney Rock Cemetery at Bayard, NE. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Barbara’s honor be made in care of the family to be designated at a later time. Barbara was born Feb 19, 1949 in David City, NE to Loy and Zella Granger Hersh. She graduated high school, then attended Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Barbara had a strong love for music. She enjoyed reading, and doing arts and crafts. She taught for 3 years in Sterling, CO.
Barbara is survived by her nephews Kevin Hersh, and David Hersh; sister in law Barbara Hersh; and many other loving family and friends.
Her parents and brother Gary Hersh preceded her in death.
