Obituary for Larry Brent Kraus

Larry Brent Kraus, affectionately known as Brent to some, passed away April 4, 2024 in Fort Collins, CO at Pathways Hospice. Services to honor Larry will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice in Fort Collins, CO in Larry Brent’s name. Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, NE is entrusted with his arrangements.
Larry was born to Georgina Marie Berno (Mattley) and Larry Kraus on April 11, 1964 in Cheyenne, WY. He moved to Scottsbluff, NE with his family when he was 14 years old. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School with the class of 1983.
After graduating, Larry worked at Yellow Front, Video Kingdom and McDonalds. He enjoyed his managerial position at McDonalds for many years. Friends of Larry’s still talk about him working at McDonalds. He was much loved there. Moving forward from there, Larry started his career with Sherman Williams on Broadway in Scottsbluff. He was extremely detailed in his work there. He very much enjoyed his job and was dedicated to his work. He was such a great help to his customers.
Larry never met a stranger, always greeting everyone with a smile. He would do anything he could to help people that were in need. He was a kind old soul. Larry enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and gardening.
Larry is preceded in death by his father Larry Henry Kraus and his mother Georgina Marie Berno (Mattley).
He is survived by his son Logan Dominic Kraus; siblings Randy Lee Kraus, Tammy Marie Kraus (Bollman) and Gary Todd Kraus (Shawna); nieces and nephews James Willey, Hunter Bollman, Shaylie, Treysen and Jaida Kraus
